Artist Statement
I have been working as a potter and teacher for 20 years.
All my work is wheelthrown and made from porcelain. I mix all my own glazes and fire them in a gas kiln under reduction. As well using traditional glazes such as celedons, chun and copper reds, I enjoy experimenting with different colour combinations to give my work a more contemporary look. More recently, I have been using dark slips on the white clay and using sgraffito to scratch out different designs.
I regularly exhibit in art exhibitions around Melbourne and at several retail outlets. I also sell my work from my studio/gallery by appointment.
All my pots are made to be used and enjoyed everyday.
