Artist Statement	Sian has worked for the past twenty five years as a studio based ceramic artist. Tea sets were her main interest in the beginning. Still today teapots are created in stoneware with detailed patterns carved into the surfaces. In recent years she has developed a fascination in translucent porcelain working with the different thickness to create soft lighting. All work is hand thrown and carved, and finished with a soft pooling glaze. Sian has also developed a range of slipcast kitchenware under her "PAW" label. Sian shows an appreciation for detail and has incorporated elements of nature in these original pieces. Her work is popular with teapot collectors and lovers of fine ceramics.
